within a 15 mile radius of
Sanibel and Captiva Islands,

activity! The most popular
artificial reef found here is
the Edison Reef, created from
the wreckage of a former mainland
bridge. Edison Reef is found in 42 feet of
water, less than 15 nautical
miles from the iconic Sanibel
Lighthouse. Snorkelers and
divers should expect to see an
assortment of fish including
barracuda, cobia, nurse shark,
grouper, amber jacks and moray
eel.
 In addition to boat
