Florida Gulf Coast Beaches.
Manasota Beach – Located
on the northern end of the
island, Manasota Beach on
Manasota Key
is one of the least visited of
the Beaches in Southwest
Florida. Because of
this, it is a phenomenal place to
go and enjoy a private day at
the beach. With over 14 acres of
gulf front beach and tons of
sand dunes, you and your loved
ones will have plenty of sand space to
enjoy. Manasota Beach on
Manasota Key has free parking,
great picnic areas with barbecue
pits, showers, and restrooms. A
boat ramp is also available.
Englewood Beach –
Englewood Beach is the most
popular of the Englewood Beaches
on Manasota Key. Known for being
a popular spot for families,
parking on Englewood Beach is
sometimes limited and costs 25
cents per vehicle. While it is
quite popular, Englewood Beach
has no lifeguards, so be sure to
keep an eye on young children.
Blind Pass Beach – Blind
Pass Beach is another Southwest
Florida Beach that offers plenty
of privacy and solitude. Ideal
for swimming and fishing,
beachgoers can choose to enjoy
the Gulf of Mexico beach, or
inlet
Lemon Bay beach. In addition to a
picnic area and canoe launch
site, there are also over 60
acres of nature trails at the
beach and a nice docking area
for boaters coming in on the
Intra Coastal Waterway.
Stump Beach Pass – Stump
Pass Beach is located on the
southern end of Manasota Key.
With no lifeguards and hardly
any crowds, Stump Pass Beach is
a beach on Manasota Key that is
great to visit if you want to
have a spectacular view of the
Gulf of Mexico sunset. Because
of its location, this beach is
also a great place to find
shark’s teeth and other
pre-historic shells. During the
summers, visitors can
participate in a ranger-led,
turtle walk and watch as the
turtles nest and crawl across the
beach.
Port Charlotte Beach State
Park – Families love Port
Charlotte Beach State Park as it
has a wealth of recreational
amenities including a heated
swimming pool, five baseball
fields, basketball, tennis,
volleyball courts, horseshoe and bocce ball games
in addition to the beautiful
beach.
Canoeing is also a popular
activity at Port Charlotte Beach
State Park as the Peace and Mykka
Rivers flow through this region.
The
